Bidding at Auction
Three Ways To Bid at a Livestream Auction
Online Bidding
By far, the most popular way to bid is online. You can watch the auction live and bid in real-time from our website. Each bid has a two-step authentication process, so you cannot bid by accident. You can bid from the office, home, or coffee shop. We will receive your bid if you have an internet connection.
Telephone Bidding
For those less confident using an online platform, you can bid with one of our Auction Negotiators over the telephone. They will assist you in placing bids and keep you up to date with the auction’s progress. You can also watch the Livestream from our website if you wish.
Proxy Bidding
This is where you submit your highest bid before the auction, and the auctioneer will take care of bidding on your behalf. We will purchase the property for you at the lowest price in line with bidding increments; for example, if you have placed a proxy bid of £250,000 and the underbidder stops bidding at £240,000 whilst bidding in £1,000 increments, then we will bid for you at £241,000. It is a great way to participate still if you can’t get to the telephone or computer during the auction, but you will not be able to increase your top offer once the auction has commenced.
